Description: Hardy, evergreen, perennial that is clump-forming with strap-like foliage and striking orange or red flowers on long stems that are long lasting. Grows well in fertile, free draining soil in full sun. Tolerant of frost, tough, dry and protected coastal sites. Kniphofias thrive if given ample water and fertilizer. Remove spent flowering stems back to base.
Excellent massed in mixed shrub or perennial border beds. Great in low water use gardens. Provides a long lasting cut flower.
Planting Conditions: Full sun; fertile soil.
Watering Conditions: Will survive on little water, however will thrive in amply watered conditions.
