A hardy woody vine that can easily climb up to 30m in height with support. It produces fragrant, violet blue and white flowers in dense clusters which can reach as long as 50cm. A spectacular sight when in full bloom in spring. Wisteria prefers a moist, well-drained soil in full sun location. Sow in well-drained seed raising mix. Germination usually takes about 10-30 days. Wisteria is very adaptable to most soil type and can tolerate hard pruning, which is best carried out soon after flowering.
