Adenanthos Sericeus - Wooly Bush
Adenanthos sericeus - Albany Woollybush
Description: A medium sized shrub or small tree with spreading branches. The narrow, grey foliage is contrasted by bright orange, tubular flowers produced for most of the year. The highly decorative foliage makes this an ideal addition to gardens, windbreaks and coastal plantings. Choose a sunny to partly shaded position. Requires well drained soils but will tolerate lime. Avoid boggy, poorly drained soil. Prune after flowering to maintain compact growth. Cultivate soil before planting. Dig hole twice the width of the container. Remove plant from container and place into hole so the soil level is the same as the surrounding ground. Fill hole firmly and water in well even if the soil is moist, apply mulch. Attracts birds.
Planting Conditions: Full sun/part shade
Watering Conditions: Well drained soil
Plant Type: Shrub
