Description: Also known as Red Cottonwood, this native hibiscus has showy yellow flowers and evergreen, red, heart-shaped leaves that give it a tropical appearance. Growing as a spreading small tree it can be used as a windbreak or as an attractive specimen plant. Best grown in full sun to semi-shade and in moist, well drained soil. Keep this plant warm and provide extra water during dry periods.
