Anethum graveolens Dill
Description: Annual herb with tall, finely striped stems and feathery, aromatic, blue-green leaves. Yellow flower heads in summer are followed by pungent, dark brown seeds. Use leaves and seeds to flavour pickles, salads, soups, meat dishes and fish. The seed can also be chewed as a breath freshener. Thrives in a sunny, open position in moist, well drained soil. Enrich soil with compost and a complete fertiliser. Protect from strong winds.
