Variety: Cordyline australis New Zealand Cabbage Tree ‘Peko’.
Description: Hardy, evergreen, small tree with dramatic foliage. Features a narrow upright palm-like tree with long, strap-like leaves attached directly to the trunk. Large panicles of fragrant, white flowers in late Spring.
Enjoys a moist, fertile, sunny site, but tolerates a wide range of conditions. For best results, remove dead leaves. Do not allow to dry-out over summer.
Dramatic foliage adds accent to all garden types. Alternatively, use Peko to add a tropical feel to the garden.
Planting Conditions: Full sun/part shade; frost hardy.
