Bougainvillea x buttiana - Texas Dawn (syn. Purple King)

Description of plant at maturity:
A tough, evergreen climber with a loose, open habit and a profusion of light purplish-pink flower bracts. Ideal for covering unsightly objects or adding a tropical or Mediterranean feel to the garden or patio. Excellent for containers.

Requires a warm, sunny site with well drained soil. Prefers adequate moisture but will tolerate short periods of drought. Prune after flowering if required. Mulch well to suppress weeds and conserve soil moisture.

Cultivate soil before planting. Dig hole twice the width of the container. Remove plant from container and place into the hole so the soil level is the same as the surrounding ground. Fill hole firmly and water in well even if the soil is moist.
