Popularity:
The Myrtifolia cumquat is a stunning citrus tree with high ornamental value. Fruit is sour and best used in marmalades and liqueurs.

Fruit:
Myrtifolia produces small, round, bright orange fruit with sour flesh. Fruit contains some seeds.

Tree:
This tree is a slow growing, robust specimen with pendulous branches and dark, glossy green leaves. It makes for a wonderful patio specimen in large containers. This tree is particularly thorny.

Main Harvest:
It will produce its main harvest over Summer.

Uses:
This cumquat is ideal for marmalades and liqueurs, as well as for adding ornamental value to the home garden.

Planting guide: Dig hole slightly larger than root system. Remove container and place tree in hole, making sure bud union is at least 10cm above soil level. Fill with soil, leaving no air pockets, and build basin around tree to hold 10-12 litres of water.

Water immediately after planting, repeat next day, and then twice weekly for the first three weeks, then at weekly intervals for the first growing season.
