Popularity:
The Nagami cumquat is a small growing citrus tree that offers great ornamental value.

Fruit:
Nagami cumquats are small, yellow-orange fruits with highly aromatic skin and tart flesh. Fruit can be seedy, but can be eaten whole, skin and all.

Tree:
Nagami will only grow to 3m tall, and makes for a wonderful ornamental feature tree in the home garden. It is a hardy, slow growing tree with slender branches and few thorns.

Main Harvest:
Harvest fruit from Winter to Spring. Fruit can be left to hang on the tree for a long period, particularly when the fragrance can be enjoyed in the garden.

Uses:
The Nagami cumquat makes for great decoration as well as fresh fruit. It is also popular for marmalades and liqueurs.

Planting guide: Dig hole slightly larger than root system. Remove container and place tree in hole, making sure bud union is at least 10cm above soil level. Fill with soil, leaving no air pockets, and build basin around tree to hold 10-12 litres of water.

Water immediately after planting, repeat next day, and then twice weekly for the first three weeks, then at weekly intervals for the first growing season.
