Description of plant at maturity:
A quick growing, deciduous tree bearing red fleshed fruit during summer. A good jam fig. This variety is self-fertile, growing 3-5m tall, bearing masses of tasty fruit throughout the warmer months.

Figs grow best in full sun, in light, well drained soil of neutral pH. While they prefer a warm, dry climate, they appreciate slightly more water while the fruit is developing (although excessive water as fruit ripens could cause splitting). Fruit ripens late summer.

Plant in well worked soil, incorporating fertiliser and/or compost. Water in well and keep moist until established. Apply fertiliser, as recommended, annually in winter. Fig trees usually require little pruning as they naturally form a good shape. However, older trees may require a regenerative prune as the fruit is borne on new wood.
