Grape - Thompson Seedless 200mm Pot (VN)

Description of plant at maturity:
White seedless sultana grape. Fruit is oval shape with a sweet taste. Consistent heavy cropper. Early maturing. One of the most popular varieties.

Grape vines will thrive in most soils. In colder districts, it is advisable to plant only early and mid season maturing varieties to ensure ripening.

Improve sandy or heavy clay soils before planting.
Bare rooted vines: plant about 2/3 of the vine into a suitable sized hole.
Potted vines: plant with the tope of the root ball level with the surrounding soil.
Water in well and prune, leaving only one new rod (unbranched stem) with 3-4 eyes (from which shoots will grow).

For best results, select and prune to one new growth rod in spring, which will become the main stem. Summer prune regularly until desired height is reached, before training side shoots onto a support. Ensure even soil moisture, particularly up until flowering. Avoid overhead watering which encourages fungal disease. Spray against mildew.
