Description of plant at maturity:
A low-growing, spreading shrub with deep green foliage and masses of red, spider-like flowers in winter and spring.

Useful for coastal gardens and ideal for containers, embankments, rockeries and borders. Ideal refuge for smaller birds. Flowers attract nectar-feeding birds.

Grows well in a sunny position in well drained soil. Tolerant of light shade, drought and moderate frosts. Prune after flowerin to maintain compact growth.
