Description: Lavender pedunculata are often referred to as the ''Butterfly Lavender'' as the beautiful and colourful ''wings'' held up above the foliage are said to resemble butterflies dancing above the plant. ''Sensation'' Lavender have been specially selected to tolerate heat and humidity and perform well in most areas of Australia. Plants are early to flower, vigorous, upright and well branched, an ideal perennial to 1m. Flowers are cerise-pink topped with large, showy, rosy-pink wings. The grey-green foliage highly aromatic. The compact yet showy habit of ''Sensation'' Lavender makes them perfect for low hedging or as a garden/patio feature. With highly fragrant flowers and foliage, plants are ideal for the herb garden and well suited to picking for indoor decoration or pot pourri. Grow in a sunny, well drained position. Feed in Spring and Summer, and prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape. Protect from heavy frost.
