Description of plant at maturity:
A fast, low growing conifer with steel blue foliage turning greyish-purple in winter. This hardy variety was first grown in 1878. A brilliant ground cover extensively used under large, deciduous trees.

Prefers well draining soil in a sunny to partly shaded position. Water regularly after planting until established. Mulch regularly to conserve soil moisture and supress weeds.

Cultivate soil before planting. Dig hole twice width of the container. Remove plant from container and place into the hole so the soil level is the same as the surrounding ground. Fill hole firmly and water in well even if the soil is moist.
