Description of plant at maturity:
Mandy''s Surprise is a dwarf, compact form growing approximately 1m x 1m, much smaller than the original species. Bright red bottle brush like flowers appear in abundance from late winter to spring. Mandy''s Surprise is drought hardy, tolerates light frosts, and coastal conditions.

It will also tolerate sandy to clay soils, and prefers a sunny or partly shaded position. Prune as requires and fertilise annually with a long term, slow release fertiliser.
