Description of plant at maturity:
Lemon grass is a perennial herb with a distinct lemon scent. The leaves and stems can be used to give a lemon flavour to herbal teas and hot dishes such as curries, stir-fries, chicken and fish. Leaves can also be dried. This perennial is best suited to growing in pots that can be protected during cold weather.

Choose a sunny position in rich, well drained soil. Prepare soil by incorporating organic matter such as compost prior to planting, or use premium potting mix in containers. Water in thoroughly after planting and keep moist during hot weather.
