Strobilanthes dyerianus - Persian Shield

Description of plant at maturity:
This spectacular, brightly coloured foliage plant is grown for its large, toothed leaves that are iridescent reddish-violet and green above, with purple underneath.

As an outdoor plant in warmer areas, it produces pale blue flowers during spring and summer. If grown outdoors, position in a frost-free area in a partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil. Ideal indoor plant in cooler areas, popular for terrariums. Position in a well lit spot, keeping soil moist but not wet. Liquid feed regulalry.
