Phormium tenax Anna Red

Description of plant at maturity:
Striking evergreen perennial with pointed strap-like ornamental foliage, growing to 120cm-180cm. Features one of the darkest coloured flax, this variety produces broad, upright purple-black leaves that arch at the tips. Strong vigorous grower.

Phormium Anna Red grows well in free draining soils in sun to shade. Tolerant of dry and coastal conditions. For best results, use a mulch layer such as wood chips with a little compost to retain soil moisture.
