Phormium hybrid Dark Delight

Description of plant at maturnity:
This dramatic clump forming plant produces striking vivid, purplish-red, upright foliage. It is guaranteed to provide both form and colour to the garden. Foliage colour can be accentuated by planting in a position that will allow the plant to recieve at least half a day of full sun. Brilliant effects can be achieved when Dark Delight is planted as an individual specimen or mass planted.

New Zealand flax plants have stiff upright sword shaped leaves in upright clumps. May be green, yellow, red and bronze or bi-coloured. Tall Summer flower spikes of cream and dull red are not showy, but are retained above the foliage. Select a different colour of Phormium to interplant and create stunning features in the garden.

Perfectly suited to coastal gardens, low maintenance gardens and container growing, the foliage can also be used to brilliant effect in floral arrangements. Phormiums grow in most soil conditions, however they prefer a moist, well drained position.
