Description of plant at maturity:
Tough perennial with broad, glossy, serrated leaves. Unusual, purple and white flowers appear on tall flowering spikes from November to January.

Ideal groundcover under large established trees in deep shade, and in shrub gardens. Tolerates a wide range of sites but looks best when protected from afternoon sun. Remove dead leaves and spent flowers. Apply snail-bait if leaves appear to have large holes.
