Description of plant at maturity:
Hardy Australian evergreen shrub with attractive showy flowers.

A very adaptable and ornamental multi-branched to spreading shrub with dense wedge-shaped, serrated leaves, mid green in colour. Young growth is covered in brown hairs.

Lovely acorn-shaped, large pendulous flowers, deep scarlet red to yellow from late Winter to Summer. Reaches approximately 2-4m high by 2-5m wide.

Prefers a well-drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded position. Tolerant of most soil types, dry conditions, wind, light frost and coastal conditions, providing there is some protection from salt spray.

For best results, mulch well. Ideal planted as an informal hedge, screen or windbreak. Also an excellent specimen for water efficient and coastal gardens.
