Brunnings Kaolin Clay is a naturally occurring mineral that can be an effective barrier against certain insect pests and diseases as well as protecting against sunburn or heat stress. It protects many fruits and vegetables by forming a physical barrier that causes irritation, confusion and may be an obstacle for feeding and egg laying.

Kaolin Clay can be used on apple, citrus, and pear trees, wine grapes, walnut trees, cucumber, and tomato plants. Kaolin Clay may also prevent fungal spores from establishing themselves on the plant foliage. In addition, the barrier it forms helps protect against sun damage. This can help produce better crop size, colour, and appearance. The clay provides enough protection to cool and help reduce plant stress during high temperatures or exposure to excessive heat.

For best results, Kaolin Clay should be applied to plants prior to the emergence of adult insects.
