Description of plant at maturity:
An evergreen tree with a single, smooth, grey trunk, which in mature specimens, divide into regularly spaced, swollen branches. The decorative, stiff, lance-shaped blue-green leaves may grow up to 60cm long and 5cm wide. Insignificant flowers are followed by orange berries in summer. This slow growing tree may with time, reach 9m high with a trunk of a metre in diameter.

A magnificent tree for general garden planting. Ideal for containers when young. Thrives in moist, well drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded position and is drought tolerant. Avoid wet, boggy soil. Cut back leggy specimens in spring. Over-watering can lead to rotting of the stem.
