Olive - Manzanillo 200mm Pot*

Description of plant at maturity:
Attractive evergreen tree requiring good drainage and water, particularly during flowering, fruit set and as fruit develops. The olive is valued for fruit and oil. Feed with citrus food in spring and autumn. For pickling, harvest the fruit in autumn when light green, or later when black. Self fertile. Olives should begin to produce fruit 2-4 years after planting.

Planting guide:
The hole for planting should be twice the area of the root ball and 8-10cm deeper which is back filled to give roots an easy start. Build up top soil rather than dig down in clay soils.

Place in hole, taking care not to disturb the root system with the top of the root ball level with the garden bed. Fill in and firm down soil around plant, creating a 4-7cm depression to act as a watering basin. Water in well. Type of soil will influence growth rate and height.
