Description of plant at maturity:
A vigorous, evergreen, densely-foliaged shrub with dark green, glossy leaves that are an attractive red colour when new growth is displayed. An incredibly versatile shrub, most commonly used to create hedges and screens.

Thrives in an open, sunny position in moist well drained soils. Tolerates hot dry periods once established and can also deal with frosts and coastal conditions. Stunning red coloured new growth is produced when the plant is pruned and heavy pruning will rejuvinate old plants. Plant at 1 metre spacings for a tight hedge.

Height: 3-4m (can be easily maintained smaller by pruning)

Width: 2-3m
