Description of plant at maturity:
Ornamental, tall, palm-like plant with large broad leaves up to 1m long. In spring and early summer it bears unusual beak-like blue and white flowers with deep purple bracts.

Ideal for creating a tropical effect. Can be grown in a large pot in a patio or indoor living space provided with enough bright light.

Thrives in rich, moist, well drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded position. Some protection from hot direct sun is beneficial. Keep moist in dry weather. Tolerant of light frost.
