Description of plant at maturity:
Rounded, evergreen shrub with glossy dark green oval leaves that develop purple tones in winter. Tight clusters of tiny white flowers emerge from pink buds and are followed by blue-black berries.

This charming shrub makes a very useful hedge or screening plant. It also performs well as a container plant and as a specimen plant in the garden.

Tolerant of a wide range of soils and conditions but prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil. Moderately frost hardy. Can be trimmed heavily after flowering to maintain compact growth.
